These are absolutely beautiful. I adore your style. I am looking to upgrade my wardrobe since I’m entering a more professional field, and cannot afford it at this time.

    Hey Peony,

We met briefly at MBFW in NYC, where I am from. I’d love to be chosen and see how putting both of our loves for fashion – together – resulting in picking amazing pieces together! Respect and look up to you dearly.

    All the best,
    Angelica

  • Peony,

A styling opportunity like this would make for one of those indispensible moments in life that define the JOIE DE VIVRE and this is what fashion is for – the escapism, experience and adventure! Like yourself, I like to see further than just a garment on a hanger and I really would enjoy (deserve, possibly? I’m a penniless fashion student after all ;-) ) this opportunity to bring more than mutual vision. I think our tastes would contrast to create the most beautiful fashion babies – and with someone I truly respect and admire in the industry; meeting you would be the cherry atop my sartorial cake. After all, twists and turns are what make fashion that little more captivating!

I believe I should win this styling session because I would like to receive the help of my mentor, YOU, in building stable pieces of my closet.
I’ve been unceremoniously following your blog for a year now and I’m glad I stumbled upon it. Your sense of mixing designers with high street brands such as Zara amazes and inspires me to create the most out of my wardrobe and fashion budget. The fact that I see the same items regularly (The Erdem shirt being my favorite) tells me that you’re not just an owner of so many clothes putting up shows for readers, but a buyer who thinks through and through before making a purchase. It testifies your love of the wardrobe you’ve built over time. Since following your blog, I buy less on an impulsive whim but on a deliberate decision. I think about of what that already live in my closet I could wear this new item with. I invest in more classical-shaped pieces because they last longer in the world of fashion fad. I try out, mix and sort out my clothes more often, making mental notes of which items go together to create what looks.
Gap has been known for reinventing classical pieces such as its classic cut jeans, and I believe styling with Peony at Gap would grant me an opportunity to build stable pieces of the wardrobe. I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan and I’m excited to check out Peony’s Christmas wishlist at a local Gap store.

I believe I should win this contest because I would love an opportunity to build the stable items in the wardrobe with my mentor and style muse, Peony Lim.
I have learned so much since stumbling upon Peony’s blog about a year ago. Peony taught me that fashion isn’t about having a lot of items but making the most out of the limited wardrobe and budget. Her use and reuse of items (the blue Erdem shirt being my favorite) proved me that versatility is the foremost priority in choosing items. Since following Peony’s blog, I buy less on an impulsive whim and more on a deliberate decision. I think through and through items on my wishlist and tend to go for the classical-shaped ones, because they last longer in the world of fashion fad. Gap has been known for reinventing classical items, such as the classic cut jeans, and I believe I would benefit from Gap’s products in solidifying stable items in the wardrobe. I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan and I’m looking forward to the results of this contest, and to take a look at items on Peony’s Christmas wishlist at a local Gap store.

You look absolutely stunning, as always. I especially love the first look you’ve put together. The heels add such a wonderful finishing touch to an otherwise simple outfit.

Have fun over the styling session. If only I was based in London, i’d be in it for the win hehe.

    -Good luck fellow readers!-

Just found your blog via instagram not long ago and immediately overdosed on all the posts.
Your style is so edgy but classy at the same time. Two that I would have never thought would really go together.
I would love to be more adventurous with my style but still manage to look effortlessly chic. I’ve already been trying to incorporate your ideas into my own wardrobe so some styling tips from you would be perfect.

  • I’ve been following your blog ever since I read about you in the Sunday newspaper You supplement. You inspired me to start writing my blog http://forcailini.blogspot.com, which is a blog about fashion and health. By profession I’m a nutritionist, but I have an unhealthy obsession with fashion and shopping and love reading your blog. I’ve always gone on my own instinct when it comes to personal style, which I guess you should do, but it would be fabulous to get some other ideas and tips from a professional. My celebrity style crush is Kim Kardashian, so I think we may already have an interest in common?
    Take care

    Hi Peony,

I would love the opportunity to win a styling session with you because I am such a huge fan of you and your unique fashion sense! I am currently in medical school studying to be a pediatric surgeon, and I rarely have time to go shopping or style myself properly. But, every morning (without fail), I stop by your blog to admire your beautiful wardrobe and photographs. It would be a dream come true to meet you and take a break from a medical world to dive into the fashion world a little! I also really enjoy your posts on food and lifestyle. I am of mixed heritage and can often relate to your stories :)

I love mixing designer and high street just like you so I think we would get along great :)

    Hi Peony,

I came across your blog a few months ago, and now check religiously for your posts! I like to see the creative pieces you pull together, as it provides inspiration and ideas for me in pulling together pieces in my own wardrobe. I’d like to think of my style as classic elegance with an edgy twist. It would be interesting to see how we could collaborate together in our styling session to come up with beautiful and creative styled pieces!

It would be an amazing opportunity to win this competition as I don’t feel I have a particular style that fits me and would love any advice you would be able to give, a new look from Gap would also be amazing.
